"Egyptian Goddess Nut"

Nut is one of the most ancient goddesses of the Egyptian pantheon. She is the original mother goddess and also the goddess of the sky. Her form is often seen as a nude woman covered in stars arching her body protectively over the earth. She is also shown in tomb paintings in a more humanized style as a guide and nurturing figure.

Here we depict Nut in two ways. One is clothed in a gown of blue the color of the sky. The other is nude, save only painted jewelry naked and timeless awaiting her earthly lover to bring forth all life.
